Want to shiver on the beach? March is far better then January for travel
Don't go to the Dom Rep or Cuba by the end of the year. You could miss the beach fun easily due to cold weather. 60-70 F is not a rarity in January and the water ist just too cold to swim. Did you know that in January 2010 patients died of cold in a cuban hospital?
Some travellers get extra holiday at the end of the year and want to spend it on the Caribbean vacation. Think twice. Our travel advice: end of February through April.

It's still not so bad in Boca Chica. You can comfortably walk in a T-Shirt at night.
